Few years back, MS Dhoni was sold to CSK in the IPL 2008 in a high bidding war , Later he was retained by CSK for just 1.8 Million dollars in the IPL 2011 Auction. His team CSK won IPL 2010, IPL 2011, 2018 and 2021. In IPL 2014, MS Dhoni was retained by CSK for 12.5 Crores. In ipl 2018 auction he was retained for 15 Crore Rupees.
