PREVIEW: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are set to play with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Wednesday (April 26) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB are on a winning run as they have won two games on the bounce, while KKR are on a defeat run as they have been defeated in 4 games on the row. The Nitish Rana-led side would be eager to come back and get back to winning ways.
With two wins on in a row, RCB are up and running. The catalyst of these wins have been their big players Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, Sira, and Harshal Patel. These four have stood up and are leading from the front with bat and ball. Virat Kohli is also leading superbly in Du Plessis’s absence on the field and is setting the right template.
The only concern for RCB is its out of form middle order. Shahbaz Ahmed, Mahipal Lomror, Suyash Prabhudesai and Anuj Rawat have not got big scores. The middle order batter issue needs to be sorted if RCB have to go the distance in the IPL.

If not for the spinners’ good performance, KKR would have been in much bigger issue. Batting has been a huge issue, with only Rinku Singh managing to shine bright.
The match will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The pitch is a batting paradise with short boundaries on either side. 200-plus scores have been scored in evening games easily. 180 is the par score.
