This afternoon, Rudi Garcia – current head coach of Al Nassr – somewhat cryptically stated,
“[Ronaldo] will not finish his career at Al Nassr, he will return to Europe.”
At first, I’ll admit I was a tad confused here, especially when considering the amount of money Al Nassr spent to acquire him, however, after thinking about it for a little, I remembered Sporting Lisbon; the club he started his career at… The Portuguese legend has stated multiple times he would like to finish his career at the same place he started it, and – based on the statement given by Garcia – a return home to Sporting really is the only option that makes sense to me. Others online claim they’ll be a bid from Newcastle over the summer, although tbh, I don’t think that’s very likely… What do you think the Al Nassr boss meant by this statement? Which European club(s) could you see taking a chance on Cristiano Ronaldo rn?
